“Artisan Table Dinners are synonymous with summer at The Lodge,” Chef Jackson said. “There’s nothing Kelli, Paul, and I enjoy more than hosting this collaborative effort that invites discussion with our guests. We like to share the thought process in determining the farm-to-table menu pairings with the featured wines, and being able to have our friends from the wineries here to talk about the selections is the icing on the cake.”
The Artisan Table Dinner menus from Chef Jackson, a protégé of the famed French chef Jean Banchet, will depend on what’s being offered from local growers, ranchers, and fishermen at the time of the event. Produce arrives at The Lodge from no farther than Paso Robles in central California. Food is always prepared with minimal handling and in simple combinations to highlight the textures and flavors inherent to each element.
A.R. Valentien takes its name from an early 1900s California artist whose works in ceramics, watercolors, and oils adorn the walls of the restaurant. The Lodge at Torrey Pines pays homage to the California Craftsman era and was designed to blend in with the adjacent Torrey Pines State Reserve, which features golden sandstone formations and rare Torrey pine trees.
The Lodge at Torrey Pines is owned and operated by Evans Hotels, San Diego. For restaurant reservations please call (858) 777-6635, hotel reservations call 800-422-8386, or visit www.lodgetorreypines.com.
