The Lodge at Torrey Pines Hosts 16th Annual Celebrate the Craft on Oct. 28

The culinary tradition continues with La Jolla’s annual festival showcasing California’s bounty

La Jolla, California (September 2018)—The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ signature culinary event, Celebrate the Craft, returns to the luxury resort on October 28. The 16th annual festival brings together Southern California’s finest chefs, food artisans, produce, wine and craft beer for a celebration of the region’s thriving culinary community. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on The Lodge’s Arroyo Terrace overlooking the world renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course and Pacific Ocean. Each all-inclusive ticket includes extensive offerings of food tastings, wine, craft beer and complimentary valet parking. Guests interested in extending their Celebrate the Craft experience can also reserve a room package starting at $545 per night, here. A portion of the ticket sale proceeds will be donated to Slow Food Urban San Diego, a non-profit organization that encourages the enjoyment of and access to local, seasonal and sustainable foods.

Helmed by The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ Executive Chef Jeff Jackson, Celebrate the Craft highlights an array of regional culinary talent including Kelli Crosson (A.R. Valentien), Steven Riemer (Oceana Coastal Kitchen), Michael Stebner (Sweetgreen), Paul Arias (The Fishery), Pete Balistreri (Tender Greens), Drew Deckman (Deckman’s en el Mogor), Jack Fisher (Town and Country Resort), James Foran (Grossmont College), Greg Frey Jr. (The Golden Door), Antonio Friscia (Legal Restaurants), Eric Gallerstein (Mastiff Sausage Company), Matt Gordon (Urban Solace and Solace & The Moonlight Lounge), Katie Grebow, Jason Knibb (NINE-TEN), Tim Kolanko (Blue Bridge Hospitality), Jarrod Moiles (Rancho Valencia), Kara Snyder (Tender Greens), Andrew Spurgin, and Ryan Studebaker (MIHO Gastrotruck).

Produce and other ingredients will be provided by California farms, ranches and artisans including The Aniata Cheese Company, Bloom Family Farm, Bread and Cie, Coleman Farms, De Bruin Rabbit, FishBone Kitchen, Jack Fisher Confections, JOIA Life All-Natural Soda, Liberty Ducks, McGrath Family Farm, Miradero Ranch, Niman Ranch Pacific Shellfish, Point Loma Farms, Pacific Shellfish, Schaner Farms, Stehly Farms Organics, Tzaddik Farm and Windrose Farm.

The Lodge’s sommelier Paul Krikorian curated a collection of esteemed vintners for the event including Dolce, En Route, Eric Kent Wine Cellars, Far Niente, Frog's Leap Winery, Grgich Hills Estate, Jackson Family Wines, Linked Vineyards, Navarro Vineyards, Nickel & Nickel, Shafer Vineyards, Silver Oak Cellars, Ramey Wine Cellars, Robert Biale Vineyards, Robert Craig Winery, Tablas Creek Vineyard and ZD Wines. San Diego’s vibrant beer industry will be represented by AleSmith Brewing Company and Bitter Brothers Brewing Co., and local spirits will be provided by You & Yours Distilling Co.
