Evans Hotels Announces Clean & Care Commitment Program Upon Reopening
All three locally owned San Diego Hotels now open for leisure guests
Evans Hotels, the local and longstanding family-owned hospitality collective, has announced its new Clean & Care Commitment program in light of COVID-19 and the resorts’ reopening for leisure guests.
Evans Hotels consists of Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa and The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Their new Clean & Care Commitment program focuses on enhanced and rigorous sanitation protocols that extend to every part of the guest experience at the resort. This includes expected features such as frequent sanitation of high-touch areas, mandatory face coverings for employees and guests in public areas, and physical distancing, but goes well beyond to include enhanced cleaning procedures for guest rooms and public areas with hospital-grade disinfectants, dividers at guest contact areas, contactless communication between staff and guests, hospital-grade air-filtration systems, and other standards contained in the company’s 54-point sanitation commitment.
CEO Robert Gleason states, “We are excited to welcome back overnight leisure hotel guests in addition to local restaurant and bar guests. Our Clean & Care Commitment is an extension of our company’s top priority: the health and safety of our guests and team members. Our enhanced protocols provide a safe space where our guests can enjoy the relaxing and comfortable experience they expect and deserve when staying with us.”
The new program was crafted using required and recommended procedures and protocols of the local and State public health authorities along with the CDC and World Health Organization. The Clean & Care Commitment has earned all three properties the Clean + Safe Certification from the California Hotel & Lodging Association.
