Chefs Nic Webber and Jacob Jordan from 24 Suns La Jolla will show off their talents during a collaborative Playing with Fire dinner with The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ Executive Chef Kelli Crosson and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Dzierzawski. Hosted on The Grill’s patio overlooking the Torrey Pines Golf Course, each Playing with Fire event highlights the bold flavors of wood-fired proteins, vibrant seasonal sides, and a delicious dessert—each dish inspired by what’s fresh at the market. Guests will also enjoy pours from this event's featured local brewery, Rincon Brewery, making for a uniquely memorable culinary experience al fresco in the evening air.

A portion of the event's proceeds benefits the House of China at Balboa Park's International Cottages, preserving Chinese culture and friendship, while promoting multicultural goodwill and understanding through educational and cultural programs.
About Our Featured Chefs from 24Suns La Jolla
Chef Nicholas Webber began cooking at 15, inspired by Jacques Pepin. After training at the Culinary Institute of America, he worked in Michelin Three Star kitchens and explored Chinese cuisine in San Francisco. He refined his craft in San Diego and Portland, later joining Addison before launching 24 Suns Pop Up in 2021. The project blends his diverse culinary background with a focus on San Diego and Chinese flavors, while supporting his local community.
Chef Jacob Jordan, from San Clemente, found his love for cooking early on. He began his career at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, focusing on Italian cuisine, pasta, and bread. In San Diego, he joined Michelin-starred Addison, leading the bread program and refining his French skills. Now at 24 Suns, he brings his dough expertise to baos, bings, dumplings, and noodles while continuing to grow as a chef.
